7.5-ton unmanned cargo aircraft equipped with a megawatt-class hydrogen turboprop engine AEP100, developed by the China Aviation Engine Corporation, made its first flight in the city of Zhuzhou (Hunan Province). The 16-minute test covered 36 km at a speed of 220 km/h and an altitude of 300 meters, after which the aircraft returned safely to base, completing the planned maneuvers. The media characterized this as the world's first test flight of a megawatt-class turboprop engine, running on hydrogen.
